camaro vs. cobra continued
question continued with my mods ( 3.73 gears, long, tubes, exhaust, chip, and CAI). If and when if i get the lloyd elliot LE1 package with says to give you 370-390 to the wheel and all i have to do is change the throttle body, with my other mods added and i beef the suspension up a little will i be able to take a cobra? and what else should i consider doing? thanks guys
Re: camaro vs. cobra continued
Is your car an automatic or manual? If its an auto you may want to get your transmission built, as well as run a stall.
The stock fuel system proably won't be able to support the power levels youre talking about. Id get that checked out... you may need injectors and a pump.
You also may want to consider a new rear if you plan on launching the car hard. With power levels like you are talkign about, the stock rear end may be on borrowed time.

I have ran two at the track with my 3rd gen at California Raceway. The first one ran around a 13.2 and I smoked him. The other one I was up against ran a 12.1 and I got smoked. If I hook I run in the 12.7's with 12.71 being best. I would say the first one was stock and the second one was modded. Hope this helps.

if it's bone stock i'd say you'd have em.. if it's even SLIGHTLY modded.. you'll get destroyed bro.. terminators and freaking SICK with mods
Re: camaro vs. cobra continued
I agree, the blown cobra's are had to beat once they have mods. I've raced them at the track and was able to beat moded ones only becasue they were on street tires and I was on ET streets. I run low 12s around 109mph. They would run mid to high 12s at just shy of 120mph. I've raced a few on the street, both had smaller pully and exhaust and probaly some other mods but those were the main ones I was aware of. I got beat by about 3 car lenths by both.
