I'm throwing in a cc306 soon with lifters, springs, retainers, timing set, gaskets, and 1.6 rr's. Should I replace the water pump with an electric one? If so which one should I get and is there anything else I should add to this list?

 

No reason to not do the water pump. I have the meziere, and it works like a charm. Nothing better than seeing that temp gauge at 165 on an 110 degree day.

 

A new ltx timing set is about the same cost as a gen 1 double roller timing set and an e-waterpump put together, might as well get the pump and get a few more ponies out of it.
