cam surge!?!?
cam surge!?!?
need a little help here-
i just put in a cc305 with all new parts except lifters. i decided i would be okay thru reccomendations and research. i also had the rockers adjusted by a mechanic because i couldnt get them perfect myself. he adjusted them to 1/2 turn past 0 with the car running. i then installed my new computer from PCMforless. now my car is stronger in the upper rpms but surges very bad at around 2000 and below. there is also some noise from the engine, sounds like ticking and exhaust leaks but i know its not exhaust. its more distinct under load at low rpms. wtf do i do? no codes thrown yet. thanks

Sounds to me like your rockers are prolly doing the ticking. I took my car to a shop, they adjusted them and tuned my car. I could feel the full power of the cam, gas mileage improved, and no more ticking.
thats exactly what i did. i wanted to clear up any doubt of rockers not being exact so i took it in. the guy even showed me how to do it next time. you have pcm4less tuning also? so why did the shop need to tune it for you? i have no idea what could be wrong now???
Your going to have some surg at low rpms with the M6. Just get use to it and use the clutch to control it. A few things can be done with pcm tuning to help such as increasing timeing and rpm at the lower end of the tables but you need software and knowledge to do this.
