Cam surge

Running the XE224/230 and other mods below. Never really had a problem with cam surge, always noticed a little but nothing bad. Recently went to NGK TR6 from the TR55, since i decided to spray. Last night was my first chance to really get in and drive the car. I noticed huge amount of cam surge at lower (around town) speeds. Thats the only change I made. Would going to a colder plug cause this? Why?

Re: Cam surge

Did you have your battery unplugged when you were working under the hood? I've noticed my computer takes a little bit to re-learn things after the battery has been disconnected - and the car doesn't run quite as nicely as normal for a bit.

Re: Cam surge

yes I did have it disconnected for a couple of weeks actualy. Does that apply to the 93's as well? Also thinking about it, there is a chance I may have damaged a O2 sensor. What effect would that have?

Re: Cam surge

Its just problems with the colder plug. I would suggest getting on it regularly to keep them cleaned off as they will foul out and get dark faster because they don't have the heat to keep them clean.
