Can someone explain to me what the cam specs are, and how they relate to certain apps. like what are the #'s and how do they relate to the engine. i wanna learn so that i can set my self up when i get my cam package. like for instance what do these numbers mean? Comp Cams XE224/236 112LSA??

This is something to get you have some understanding. When you fully understand what's going on, just cough up $50 or so for a proffesional who'll set you up with what you need. The cam is the heart of the motor and it takes alot more then understanding cam specs to design a cam.

 

i still wanna know what all the numbers mean so i can start to put together a list of parts i want.

 

My suggestion would be to purchase a good cam, or cam/valve timing book/manual to read. Barnes & Noble and Amazon are two of the online sources available to purchase such material.
