Re: cam recomendation

I have pretty mush the same motor you have built and I installed the Comp Cams 07-502-8 camshaft with 218/224 and .495/.503 lift. I have 1.6:1 roller rockers too and that brings it up to .537/.541. It pulls HARD from 2k up to redline (6600). It idles good and you can tell their is a nice cam in it. Comp makes a little larger cam too with 220/230 and it would be nice too. With longtubes you will definately be happy with either of these cams. Before you put your heads together make sure you have chosen the cam and know the correct springs. That is very important and Comp Cams hotline can help you alot. Good Luck!

Easy pickings in a two-by.
A nasty idle isn't always the result of the wrong cam choice.

I would consider myself a knowledgeable gearhead and I always get excited about a "nasty" idle. I love the sound of a loud lope crusin down the road.
