Cam question...and a suggestion.

First the suggestion...
There are entirely to many cam posts to try and sift through using the search option, at least if you want results. I think it may be time for a comprehensive cam thread made as a sticky or something where people list the cam they have supporting mods, power made, track times, shift point ect. I think something like this could be very useful, just facts about what you got what it did and no extra BS.

Now on to my question...

I got a 96 M6 car all bolt ons...4.10s...a set of PP heads (sorry I have lost the flow numbers probably to never be found again, but I remember they flowed ok not LE good but not I did them in my basement bad, they have stainless valves that are stock size, and crane springs, and 1.6 RR). Now I want a cam that doesn't rev to the moon to make power as my bottom end is stock and don't want to turn it that high regardless if it will take it. Therefore I do not want a CC306 becasue I read they shift at 6700-6800. I was really hoping to shift at around 6-6300. The car is not a daily driver soemthing not so tame isn't needed, and I am not worried about emissions. I was reading about the XE grinds but I rarely see the shift points people use listed and if it gets to technical I get confused I admit. I am not against spending some extra dough to get a custom grind, but I don't have flow numbers so I don't know if it would help much. If one of the builders on the site has a secret grind or something you can PM with some info if you like, or if you have a recommendation for an off the shelf that too would be great.

Long question short I want the most powerful cam I can get that shifts at about 6000 or so RPM with my mods...

Thanks

Re: Cam question...and a suggestion.

I have an Isky cam in my car.. 225/234 duration @ .050. .505/.525 lift and 112 LSA. I am really happy with it. It idles with a little bit of a lope and makes good power up to 6200.

I have minimal tuning and I put down 320/341 on the dyno. Car runs good and I shift at 6300-6400 at the track. Without traction I put down a corrected 13.1 @ 110.

This is all with stock untouched heads and bottom end.
