cam question

mods are listed, car has 110k. thinking of getting the CC 305. what all reccomended parts on the list in that link do i have to get? which ones would you guys here recommend or strongly recommend? i was thinking that i would for sure get the springs and lifters. i think my factory rockers would suffice untill i could save the money for them. the gain would be minimal and they are half the job of the cam install so i could always do that a lil in the future. and i could do the springs later too, just wondering with that small of a cam if i would have to do the springs? thanks for all the help and here is a link to the list i forementioned...

Reuse the lifters provided they are in good shape and take that money and buy rockers.
Then again I would not spend much time looking at the 305 cam, if you are going to go through all this hassle do it right, pick a different cam.

The link does not work.

You can get the Hotcam kit and have everything you need (including springs and roller rockers) for ~$500 and a decent cam that works well with stock heads.

god bless i give up. is anyone going to give me a good idea of a cam and component combo? i have been thinking that if i get a cam i should def. get springs, and have the lifters just in case the old ones are in need of replacing.

So get the Hot cam and a set of Pac beehives. Not cheap but worth it. Sell the springs that come with the kit. Forget about keeping the stock converter if you want to be quick. That's almost like saying you want 1.70 60 ft. times on street tires. Depending on your 60 ft. times now, a quality converter and some sticky tires can drop 3-5 tenths of your time.

The crane 227 should work fine with the stock converter. I went 12.5@111 with a 1.86 60' with that cam and a mild set of ported heads on the stock stall with a slipping tranny. You will obviously be leaving something on the table with the stock stall but it will work.
