Question Cam powerband question

I'm doing a crapload of research on cams. The car is more of a street car and will see the track ~ once a month or two (and never see a street race). I'm looking for more bottom end then top end. I would really like to see a cam that has a powerband from 2000 to 5500. It at least has to start at 2500, I don't want to spin the engine past ~6000 until I do a stroker and have forged internals to support the higher rpms.

Which specs should I look for in a cam that would have that kind of powerband? A higher or lower LSA (110, 112, 114?), high lift or high duration? Any help is greatly apperciated.

This one from Thunder might suit you: Crane 40-104227 210 / 224, .479 / .518 112 LSA

A cam ground on a 114 lsa would make the power band lower then a cam on a 112 and so on. I'm not sure on the high lift or duration part. But i think a good cam for what you are looking for would be the 224/230xe on a 114 lsa. Thats the cam that i'm going with.

CC502 XE I think it's exactly what you're asking for.

218/224 0.528/0.535 111 LSA

Great Torque right where you want it.

There's a guy on this board that makes 343 rwhp and 343 rwtq with that cam with unported heads and shorty headers

It's that cam that I'm most likely going with.

Dan

The hotcam. cc305, 224/230, 227/233 there are a lot of choices. I wouldn't worry too much to spin the engine to 6200rpms. That is where most of the following are going to peak at. A 114lsa will have a lower range powerband than a 110 or 112. The 224/230 on 114 would be a good choice. In your sig you say a 355. I would throw a little more cam cuz of the cubes. Also are you going to have ported heads? Give us your goals and everything in the motor. You'll get better responses.
