Cam or no Cam?

OK guys it's been a while since I posted. I need some advice.

When I bought my car it had all the components I have listed below. What I would like to know is, how can I tell if I have a cam or not. I still have not been able to get in touch with the guy that had the car before me because he is still in IRAQ. I don't want to pull the car apart to find out. The car Idles rough but does not have any mis-firing and pulls strong up to about 130 then starts to slow a little. I have a new opti, water pump and O2's. The car has no headers or cats.

The reason I ask is, this morning, I took on a 92 formula T/A GTA with headers LT4 hot cam kit flow master catback CAI and all bolt ons and A4. We were side by up to I hit 4th then I pulled over a cars length on him and was still pulling at 125 when I started to back off.

He should have taken me since I am mostly stock. What do you all think?:

What else is done to your car again? I think you forgot your sig.

Anyway I would say you have a really strong running car. I'll bet you have some kind of mild cam in yours, or he doesnt have the mods he says.

I'm surprised with 3.73s that he hung so well with you, I would have bet that you beat him by a little in the 1/4. The 3.73s really wake up an LT1.

You can try pull one of the valve covers off and taking a gander. If there's aftermarket springs and rockers on there he very well may have throwin a mild cam in there or just put 1.6 rockers on but it would give you at least a hint of whether or not it's been changed.

Also it seems almost everyone goes with Roller Rockers when installing a cam, you can just pull the passenger side breather or oil fill tube off the valve cover and see what's under there.
