which cam to install with stock heads

I have to do an opti unit pretty soon, so i figure while im at it i may as well do a cam and switch to a vented opti. What are your experiences? What cam will work best with the mods i have (in sig). And what gains should i expect 1/4 mile wise. Thanks in advance. Prorac1

this cam will make more power than the hot cam. so just get it ground on a 114 and it will be very streetable

I also just installed a comp 224/230 with a 112 lsa. Most people will agree this is probably the largest cam for non-ported heads, although it does work well w/ ported heads also. I can't give you any gains or 1/4 mile times, but it does pull alot better on the top end. I'd recommend this over the hotcam. If you're wondering about pt #s for valvetrain components here's a site,
http://www.compcams.com/catalog/086_087.html
(its listed as the Extreme RPM "503")

I'm putting in a 224/230 (113 lsa) cam as well, but I also have ported heads. I still think you can't beat the value of the hot cam for stock, unported heads.
