Post Cam and Injectors

I am building a 396 out of my LT1. I want all the power that I can get and still be able to drive it on the weekends or maybe on a poker run. So, I was curious on what cam and injectors to get. I have a 4l60e transmission and right now I have a stock rear end. I am wanting to change out the rear end for a 12 bolt with around 3.73 gears. I also thought about changing transmission to either a turbo 350 or a 400. Any ideas on what stall converter I should get. Anybody with real knowledge about what cam, injectors and stall I should get, Please reply. Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Cam and Injectors

You should get a custom ground cam that properly matches your head flow information.

I agree......talk to Bret, (SStrokerace) about the cam and what injectors would be best with it......and for a stall, I would go with either a Vigillante, or (my preference) a custom built (Street) Edge brand converter built exactly for your set-up(gear, cam, engine, car weight, Ect...) somewhere around 2800-3200 stall is still nice to drive.....Aprox 2.45 STR.................

Re: Cam and Injectors

HEADS are all important, if you were planning to leave them stock then leave the whole motor stock, and as said let the head guys help you pick the cam.
Don't do the 3 speed either just find a shop like pro-built.net or one of the relatively few others who can build this tranny well. I am sure others here can recommend some good shops just5 be prepared to have to mailorder since MOST local shops will just screw it up.
