Cam identify help

We are building an LT1 for a friend of mine and he was given a cam at a previous shop he worked at, but no maker stamp like Comp, Crane, etc. It is an LTx cam as it has the longer dowel pin (97 style from what he is telling me) and the hole for the opti.

We are planning to take to cam shop if need be in Dallas to get measured but figured what the heck, maybe someone will recognize the numbers on the back. They are dot etched like a factory grind would be.

586 FM13

216 00L (that's double zero)

Any help is appreciated.

586FM67 is a mark on the Hotcam, the Hotcam part number also ends in 586, so it's still a possibility. The above thread mite help you out a bit more.

Hot cam it is. Thanks guys. Didn't think that google'ing the number would present anything other than random results. Plus I trust the members of this board with their findings more than some random blog.

I wonder what the difference on the part number means then? The link that was provided shows 00r as the last three, the cam we have shows 00L.Date made maybe? Just curious. Either way may not use it since hot cam. He has higher goals in mind. We were actually afraid cam might be too big. Thanks for the help though again.
