CAM ID Help.

My friend gave me a cam which he says is the lt4 standard cam but I have no way to verify it. The only information I have is BC-17-242 which is engraved on the camshaft, how do I find out what cam it really is?

No way I can find out what cam it is?? I looked on gmparts direct with that, and nothing popped up

The "standard" LT4 camshaft is part # 12551142
