My prediction is that you'll wish you went with a bigger cam.

I'm pulling for you, but doubtful that cam will help you reach your goals.

Dunno about peak hp, but that cam should give you some good torque down low and be a nice cam for the street on unported heads. Although 5* more duration and .25" more lift would be nice too, and you probably wouldn't give up much on the bottom to gain on top. Sure you don't want to go with a cc305 or a 503?

Re: cam goes in this weekend predictions

I really didnt want a big cam. I coulda went with the hotcam yes, but i didnt really want a noticible lope. When i contacted lpe they told this cam would have excellent manners on the street and make nice power as well. Im not looking to go ALL out on this cam. I wanted a mild upgrade and something I could bolt a 4.5psi powerdyne to later down the road, and I think with this cam I could. Even with ported heads and this cam it should make some decent numbers, and will lpe I dont gotta spin my bottom end to the moon, all the power is in a USEABLE rpm range the tech told me on the phone. He also mentioned that the SMALLER cam 211/219 made about 10hp less than this one, even though that one has a considerable ammount of more lift. He told me not to really focus on the numbers just try it out. He was so satisfied by this cam that he said if I did not like it, and was not pleased he would make sure I get my refund for the cam and I would be about to retain it. Good CSR I think so. And according to Desktop Dyno he said peak numbers at the crank with things the way they are would look around 383hp @ 5k, 444tq @ 3500, these are just crank numbers so we will see. Maybe this will yeild the same results as the "CADILLAC" cam I was reading about.
