CAM Dyno Time Today - Any Ideas?

My problem was best described by the dyno graph in my sig. Jeff from CAM
came back out here to So Cal this weekend and solved the problem with
OBDI.

The list of new/replaced parts to solve this problem included: OBDII PCM,
MAF, opti, coil, ICM, valve springs and spark plugs. I'm not sure if an OBDI
PCM will solve my consistent 2-3* of KR at WOT since I don't have a PCM
yet. Next step is to buy one, send it to Jeff for the program, install a KS
and drive the **** out of it.

Thanks again Jeff Creech/Carolina Auto Masters, Tuning Technologies,
and Mike/SS MPSTR. It was also nice to meet some fellow fbody
enthusiasts and talk shop.

Once I get the new dyno files I will update my sig.

I can't really help you out, only give you some words of encouragement. Good luck finding the problem. I know it's been a pain in the butt trying to figure it out. If you are getting KR, I can only think of a few things:

Comp-R's(big hassle to replace with OE lifters to see if they are the problem)
Bad knock sensor(wrap threads in teflon tape, reinstall, and see if KR goes away)
Timing Chain causing excess noise setting off the KR?

Good luck Mike. I like your setup, and want to see it run right.

Thanks Dan. I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on this, but I have
my doubts if we will discover anything new. I'm hitting the road in
a couple of hours and will put up a post once I'm back home.

Yes. Problem solved with the OBDI PCM. Jeff brought the PCM along
to give it a try and it did the trick. Now I just need to buy one and
send it to him for the program.

You are welcome Mike. Keep me posted on your progress too. Maybe I'll
have an OBDI PCM by then and can stop by Tuning Technologies and
"make some noise" as Jeff calls it.

308/329

Less than last time, but pulling strong all the way to the limiter.

That was with an untuned OBD-I computer, or did he have some sort of tune in it?

It was tuned. I'm sure it needs a bit more tweaking, but that will have to wait
until June.
