cam duration @ .050(math)=adv. duration
cam duration @ .050(math)=adv. duration
I have searched through it seems like thousands of threads here, google, and everywhere else trying to figure out if you can get the ADV. Duration when you only have the duration at .050. I have the cam card with all the info but it is all list in terms of .050.
I need this information to finish calculating the DCR for my new motor.
Can this even be done, or will I have to have other information.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

The reason duration at .050" is usually used is because there are several ways of measuring where duration starts. Cam maunfacturers use .003", .006" and I've even heard the phrase "precevable movement" used. Using the different techniques you can have noticably different "advertised durations for the same cam.
