cam dowell pin?

cam dowell pin?

Im puting in an cam and the pin is too short. It is .500 when it needs to be .605-.620 i did a search and all i found was that of the pin being too long. How can i get the pin out some so it will work ok?

It will still work fine. Only when its too short to spin the opti are you gonna have problems.

How short is to short? I think at .5" it is just barly in the opti.

test fit it and see if it will spin the dowell

How can you tell if the dowell is spining once it is on? we put it on and it looks like it is in the slot but were not for sure.

Use some clay or play-doh to see how far it is engaged in the opti.

So if it goes into the opti any amount it is fine?

If so that would be great i ll pick up some playdoe and check that out tonight. If we do have to pull it out, What is the best way to do that?
