Cam/ Crank

We are seeking advice on what to go with for a street/strip car that will be driven MAYBE 700 miles a year. Oil pressure is low at the moment, but compression is great! What should we go with:

- Camshaft?
- Crankshaft?
- What is a stall converter - do i need it?
LT4? where is this sold? What kind of computer programming is needed here.

Should we change the fuel injectors- any idea how to check if they are clogged? - after taking off the header Y pipe there is a lot of black suit and seems the engine is running very rich, maybe one is leaking?

I know we could just buy parts and put them in, but its so much nicer to have things match and compliment each other to have a system rather than parts, since you have done this many times i would appreciate your help on the setup.

The Summit Cam and Lifter sets why are they only 69.99? thanks

One more thing- WHERE can i find a complete set of hoses for the car.

Appreciate any hep

Thanks!

-Brad-

Sorry post is written horribly - on my way out the door to work - thanks!

Re: Cam/ Crank

Wow, big questions. One quick comment - a $69.99 cam is going to be a flat tappet cam, not what you want. You want a roller cam and since the nose is different it must be specific for an LT1.

Converter choice will depend on the cam and heads chosen as well as use (street vs. strip).

Are you sure you need a new crank?
