Cam choice VS Altitude

I have an interesting question. Recently i have noticed a lot of people going with large cams like the cc306 and 847. I jumped on the hotcam bandwagon back in the day . This winter i am doing some nice heads and have been considering bumping up the cam. But at 5800 ft elevation im a concerned about cam choice. We have way less air than all you lucky guys at sea level. The way i see it is a larger cam would be asking for more air that isn't there? Would i even benefit going to a larger cam over the hotcam?

i have a guess...go for it!

your stock cam and your hotcam had to deal with the same air conditions so its not going to be any different for your large cam.
