I broke my hotcam in buy holding the rpm at 2000 for about 10-15 minutes (with a screwdrive to the throttle linkage). Some say there's no need to break in the cam because we have a hydraulic roller set-up. But it doesn't hurt to break it in IMO.

agreed. a good heat cycle can't hurt. get it warm then let it cool off. sounds good to me

NEWSFLASH!
We have hydraulic roller cams, there is no need to break them in. Just after the install, run the car to see how everything is doing... take it for an easy test drive, come back, drain the oil.
Drive it for another 500 miles, change the oil again and go about your normal maitence cycle.

when i had the ZZ9 cam i just put it in and drove it hard like normal, never had any problems, went 12.9 at 109, i am doin the same with the new cam i got too. but its all on how everyone else does it, some people break them in some dont i dont cuz there is no need too
