which cam???

I've ask this question before but I lost my replies and can't find them. So here it goes again, what cam should I get with my application, do I need 1.6 rr? I don't want nothing huge but I want a good cam for the 1/8 or 1/4. I don't plan on doing any porting either. Is the lt4 hot cam what I am looking for???

Well, I'm no expert but I have been seeing that with a port job, guys have been putting down 330-345rwhp.....I am sure that it would improve your times...but to be honest....you should go with the 230/230 for the most performance and 12's in your 1/4 with unported heads.

Eddie I run the Crane210/224 with stockheads na and I have run 11.40 116 with a automatic and Vig3200. Great cam for stockheads. Lots of low end power I run 1.48 60ft. Good luck Frank95z

If you don't want to get a bigger stall, then that cam will probably work alright. You will definitely want 1.6 RR's to up your lift. You're gonna need new springs, and valve seals. Lifters would also be a good idea to replace. You'll be able to notice it, but don't expect a HUGE gain from that cam. If you are wanting a big improvement, I think you should look into a bigger cam, headwork, and a stall. More money, but that is what will make a HUGE difference.

I ran 12.30 with the stock converter and 3.42 gears, then i ran 11.86 with 2400 Slp converter, then 11.40 with weight reduction and Vig3200 so i would recommend this cam for a stockhead combo. Good Luck Frank95z
