Callies Stealth Crank hub bolt size?

The factory LT1 hub bolt feels like its trying to make it's own threads, does anyone know what thread size and pitch it is?

Did those of you with aftermarket cranks use the factory 7/16" x 20tpi bolt?

Are the threads on your bolt in good shape?

Yes, they look fine. A buddy suggested that the bolt may have stretched, although it threads into the factory crank just fine.

7/16x20 appears to be a standard pitch on (almost?) all SBC applications. I'm going to buy a new bolt and see if it threads in ok.

Is it a problem with length? I have the Callies Stealth, and I VAGUELY remember an issue with the length of the bolt... but that was almost 10 years ago, and the shop that built the engine solved the problem while I was working in Italy.

The threads don't start until 1 inch deeper, so I need an inch longer bolt.
