Which CAI kit should I buy?

I know, I know, I should do a search. But this is not your typical "Which CAI" thread.

Talking to a buddy of mine I realized I've tried nearly all the CAI's for the LT1. Started with the Lingenfelter, liked it, but then went to a LS1 lid to see how that works. Cleaned stuff up, but I wanted to put the radiator shroud back because of the heat so I went to a Moroso. I just sold the Moroso and now I'm moving on to my next CAI kit. So should I go for a SLP or go back to a Lingenfelter? Lingefelter is only $159 and it's been that price forever. I would only buy a SLP used, no way I'm dumping $260+ on a cold air kit.

Wouldnt mind doing the LS1 Lid with a LS1 fan shroud, but I'd need a hood to fit.

Sorry, kinda a pointless thread

Lingenfelter.

They make a nice CAI and use a bigger K&N filter than the K&N FIPK does.

Also, I never was a huge fan of SLP's twin filter set up.

Do you still have your ABS block? If not, I've got a custom 4" intake tube that would work perfect for ya. I bought it off Tanner(crazy 9 sec Canadian)

ABS is gone, got some pics of the custom? I know who Taner is.

I was never a fan of the textured plastic that K&N and Moroso use. I bought the Moroso cause I needed a CAI in a pinch.

Custom, Roxy, is the way I might have to go, lets see what flyinZ's got....

I've already done that route with the Moroso. Now that I'm going alot of work cleaning up the engine bay and removing extra crap, I dont want to go back to a cheesy looking CAI. It'll be LPE, SLP, or custom.

I was always under the impression the LPE was just like the K&N, which is similar to the Moroso.

Or am I wrong?

Two best are K&N and the Lingenfelter. Both have rather large filters compared to the SLP and the Moroso.

LPE is not just like K&N, different tubing, better looking plastic if there is such a thing, and bigger filter than K&N.

Why would I go to a Moroso when I'm packing one up to ship out on WED?
