Going to go through and readjust all my valves before I head to the dyno this weekend. What kind of preload is everyone else running on these lifters? I'm using 7/16" rocker studs so how much of a turn is that?

I want to say after searching we found 1/2 was what we needed to use on 7/16th studs

 

I'm running about 1/4

 

I don't have my motor together yet, but my builder told me to go with 1/8-turn on my caddy lifters. I was surprised about so little pre-load, but he said he's had a lot of luck with that for higher-revving engines (7K-ish plus).

 

Well if it helps I only run 1/6th turn on my morels

I would not run much less then an 1/8 on any thing BTW

 

Every 1/4 turn is ~.020 preload.

 

I would run 1/2 to 2/3 turn.
