A/C line install

So I pulled the motor and rebuilt it, put it all back together and have hit a wall. How do you get the A/C lines back into the car? I'm talking about the ones that mount behind the compressor? Short of pulling the power steering and A/C compressor I cant see how else to get them in. Any one know the magic way to get these to go back?

I installed the lines onto the compressor before dropping it in.This also means the steering pump must be moved out of the way.I couldn't tell you how to get them in there with the compressor already installed though.

Just pull the compressor and put set the lines in place. Then put the compressor back on and bolt the lines up. Thats what I did a couple weeks ago.

Re: A/C line install

Originally I hooked mine up when I put my engine back in, but a few weeks ago my drive belt broke and it shredded my AC line. I don't think there's a magic way to do it. I just unbolted the compressor and eventually wiggled the lines in there. It was a P.I.T.A. I got really frustrated because I couldn't hardly get my hands in there, but after a few choice words and almost finishing a 6-pack... it went right into place. Good luck.
