Hey all,

My bf has a 94Z and we got in it the other day to ride around, and turned on the air, and we heard a crazy noise. It was in the passenger side dash area. It was really loud, sounded like a fan
beating the car. If you turned the air/vent off, it quit. But when you turned the A/C or vent on, at any level, it would start again.

Does anyone know what this is, or how we can find out. Figured I would come here until I checked my Haynes or went to my mechanic.

Hope it is an easy fix.

I'm guessing the blower fan?

 

Is that an expensive fix? How hard to do?

Don't think it's hard to get out. You will have to take off the lower panel under the RH side of the dash.
