Since you want to remove it altogether you can get the 1LE delete pulley from a dealer or your local auto parts store. The latter is the subject of debate on whether or not it is durable or not. If you do a search you should be able to find quite a bit of info on this subject.

I would get the GM from your local dealer. Here is what it looks like along with the part number on it.

Not a GM pulley, but this is how it installs. I don't have a good photo of my GM installed.

Shouldn't have to reroute the wires. If they're stock, they run under the power steering hard line behind the pulleys. Your defroster uses heat, so as long as you have your heater core it should be fine. As for power, the A/C compressor has a clutch so you're not really turning much with the A/C off. It might free up a couple, but nothing you would be able to feel. The real savings is in weight reduction and extra space in the engine bay.

The compressor runs on defrost to dehumidify the air (which aids in clearing the glass). No compressor-no dehumidification.

By design the factory belt is supose to work, however, I had to get a shorter one. As I recall, you can reuse the bolts.

Take out as much, or as little as your want. You can save a few pounds with everything out. Also, with the condenser core removed you'll have better air flow for cooling. If you remove it you'll need to build some spacers to maintain the air folw without leaks.
