is the compressor supposed to make louder noticeable noice when A/C is on (gets louder and louder as you step on the gas?)

come on guys please help me out. can you guys here your compressor when the A/C or defrost turned on? does it increase loudness when accelerating? thanks

 

you will hear the clutch engage when it activates. if it makes more noise then normal you could ahve a clutch going bad or the compressor itself.

are you sure it;s coming from the compressor and not PS pump ect ect?

 

My rebuilt compressor is 1 year old and cools great but can definately hear it when it is engaged.... gets louder higher the rpms get.
