A/C Clutch jump

Hey everyone, im trying to see if my ac compressor will turn on by jumping the wires to the clutch..i was reading that u can test if the clutch is working by inserting a wire in the ac relay on b1 & b4 or 30 to 87. is it safe to do this? is there another way to test the compressor clutch? thanks everyone.(pictures would help to if yall have any )

From Shoebox, here's the wiring diagram of your 95:

As long as you are jumpering at the relay, the system is still protected by the 20A fuse.
