Buying new Headers???

Buying new Headers???

my friend told me if i buy new headers ill have to upgrade my exhaust? is that true i just got my z28 as my 1at car and still learning the ropes of muscle cars.

depends what headers you wanna get, long tubes you'll have to modify the rest of your exhaust, if you get shorties/mid tubes, most are made so they can hook right up to your stock system...is this on a 4th gen?

long tubes with a off road y-pipe will fit up to your factory exhaust as well.

I just put on some pacesetter mids, had pacesetter longs about two years ago.

Both fit amazing, plug access was awesome with the long tubes, its....meh....with the mids.

I would recommend pacesetter long tubes. if the car is daily driven, dont bother with the coated ones, just get painted as the coating will flake anyways. Get them sent out somewhere like performance coating and get them coated there.

as long as it's the stock 1 in 2 out setup all you'll need is an off road y and long tubes...
i got ceramic long tubes a year ago, coating hasn't flaked off or blued, sounds badass though

thanks for the help everyone yeah my step dads friend that works at a repo lot just told me they got a wreck z28 with cragers on it. he always said it has some motor work done to it but it was wreck in the front end. Hit a Tree. Bad Way to go. hes giving me the cragers and im also getting the upper dash part mines cracked! i might look and see what i can scrap from the motor
