Buying a cc503 cam, need help

Hey guys, Im in the market for a cc503 cam for my 97 Z28. I know a few people have this cam and was wondering if anyone could find or list a price sheet of the parts, or just the parts that I would need to complete this install. I plan on buying a stock set of heads, and having them ported and machined. Part numbers would help but not necessary.
A few people said ls7 lifters, pro mag 1.6's, and beehive springs but I would like to get everything that I need. Thanks...

ls7 lifters, pro mag 1.6'sNSA, beehive springs, guide plates, hardened pushrods, new timing chain set;that should be good. And LE or AI will be my choice for head porting.

here's what I ran, not considered the most optimal setup but it worked for me and was easy on the wallet, made 325rwhp through an unlocked auto with midlengths and 130k+ miles

1.6 comp magnum SA rockers, roller tip
comp 7.200" hardened pushrods
crane dual coil kit 10308-1
stock lifters
new timing chain

I'd recommend new lifters, set of LS7s is only like $120, but if the stockers aren't extremely high mileage and show no signs of abnormal wear you can reuse them. if you decide to go with the LS7 lifters though it seems to be recommended that you purchase a pushrod length checker because appearantly many people have had to go with an aftermarket length pushrod when using them

if you were to end up going with AI or LE for head porting I'd recommend having them select you a matching cam to complement it

I actually think this setup would be great. There is no need to go completely over kill with a mild cam and waste money. I always see alot of guys saying the needs beehives and titanium retainers and blah, blah. Use that money for a N2O kit or track tires or mail order bride. Stock lifters are actually pretty good for coming free with the motor. Just make sure they arent screwed up. They didnt have LS7's when I put my cam in, so I just used stockers couple years later and many 7000rpm shifts and everything is working fine.

PS What ever happened to people calling them XE503's?

prolly just got used to cc305 and cc306 so I guess cc503 became a natural fit for most

as far as the SA vs NSA arguement I even talked to lloyd and with the decently sized 383 cam he recommended with shifting at 6400rpm he still recommends SA unless I plan on going MUCH bigger down the road and don't have to rebuy parts

springs

I have a set of new( drop in)erson valve springs good to 570 lift,125lb seat pressure at stock height and all you need is new locks, use stock spring locater and retainers, one of the best drop in springs $65 to your door. These springs are all you need unless your running a comp xfi or big lunati voodoo around 600 lift
