Burnt valve question
Can you visually see a deformaty with a burnt valve, Heads off of course.
Here is the short story... Car started backfiring under load and progressivly became worse. Car was undrivable type backfireing or almost missing. Checked plugs, wires etc. etc. No luck
brought it in for diagnostic check they found nothing mechanic suspected a burnt valve, then had another mechanic also suggest probably burnt valve.
So I took heads off don't see anything abnormal ?
But I did see the junk inside the driver side cat is all busted up would this make the car run this terrible ??
Also have my shorty headers and 3 point strut tower brace for sale. Possibly more if I have to get a valve job and more work

Sometimes you cannot see it from the chamber - look for a chamber that has excessive chunky buildup, secondly just put the head port side up and fill the port with water...it will leak by a valve that doesn't seal.
