Burnt valve?

Burnt valve?

what are the normal symptoms for a burnt valve..any info. appreciated..thanks Tony

put a dollar bill against the tail pipe, it will puff away and then when the bad (bad valve) cylinder fires it will suck the dollar bill back into the pipe. Yes this works very well. The reason it sucks it back in is because the burned valve will stick open and cause the motor to suck in through the exhaust on that cylinder. Hope this helps, hope it works out, prorac1

thanks for the info....the problem is im running really rich..just wondering if that was a possibility. What would cause my plugs to just reak of gas?...

throwin a code? it could be egr valve, o2 sensor, or just the nature of the beast depending on the severity. The LT1 runs naturally rich from the factory, but without a code its hard to pinpoint.
