while i was trying to find this high rpm miss in my car i came across a hose from where the fuel lines are wrapped in the plastic...this rubber hose thing come out of the plastic that is wrapped with warning...i touched it and it left a black flakey residue in my hand...what is this hose and should i replace it?

it goes over top of the driver side valve cover and connects to a metal line the runs down the back side of the intake.

Those are your fuel lines ().

There should be three lines that come out of the convoluted tubing with the warning label; two go to the fuel rails (one is return, the other is to), and one goes to the EVAP purge solenoid.
