Burning smell?

I thought i could smell burning clutch all the time when i would come to a stop while normal driving. I just replaced the clutch and i still get the same smell. Also though my power steering pump is leaking i think. It shoots some fluid over the engine bay. Do you think that the burnt power steering fluid could smell sort of like burnt clutch? When i open the hood to try and smell it, i can't. So thats why i'm thinking it may be the clutch. When i took my old slp clutch out that i thought was all burnt up. It was almost in perfect condition. If it was my clutch and i drove it for 3 weeks with this smell it should of been very noticable when i looked at the clutch right?

Does your pinion seal leak? (End of the drive shaft just before the differential) If it does it could be gear oil going onto the exhaust and burning off, happens with me all the time.

Check your A.I.R. injection hoses. If a on-way valve is shot, it will allow exhaust into the rubber hoses and cause them to burn/melt.

This happened to me, and I too thought it was clutch/brake smell ... turned out to be the rubber hose.

I had cheap brake pads that used to smell like the clutch burning too, so you might wanna smell your wheels

I will check the air hose today. As well with the driveshaft. I don't think it is my brakes because the only ones i replaced were the back brakes and the smell seems to be comeing from the front. Thanks for the replies. Anybody else?
