Burning a lot of fuel
I've been having major problems with my 1994 Trans Am lately. I've changed the Opti, coil, module, spark plugs, and wires, and now I seem to have a fuel problem. The car is missing when I rev it, and the engine feels like it wants to break out of the car when I put it in drive. There is a major smell of fuel coming from the exhaust. I've actually had to change two coils, the coil was the only problem to start off. Any suggestions or diagnoses would be much appreciated.
First pull the fuel regulator vacuum line off and see if its wet. If it is the regulator has to be changed. If that's not a problem check spark at all the plugs Then check the position of the rotor at TDC of number 1 to see if it's pointing to number 1
