I was at a friends body shop today and he had the front clip of an LS1 car, i noticed it had a styrofoam(?) support instead of the heavy pre-98 car. I'm sure it some impact resistant "foam", but it looks like its a whole lot lighter than the LT1's. I'm wanting to remove mine, and was wondering if anyone knows if this fits LT1 cars. A friend of mine could make a metal support, but if this thing fits and is just as light it would be a whole lot easier.

 

I thought LT1 cars had styrofoam? Mine is styrofoam...

 

I could be wrong but i thought they where hard plastic..

 

my buddies 93 camaro and my 94 camaro both have plastic.. my 94 firebird has styrofoam..

 

I haven't taken the from clip off of my curent car but my old 95 formula had styrofoam, under the front bumper cover, I got into a bad front end accident and there was styrofoam all over the place!

 

the camaro had a hard plastic piece and the birds had styrofoam to make up the difference bettween the camaros fixed headlights and the birds pop up lights, I don't know if the LS1 piece will fit on the LT1 piece though
