Building CMC car - 93 LT1 or 95 LT1 engine?

I am building a Camaro Mustang Challenge car and I have both a complete 93 LT1 and a 95 LT1 engine with computers.

Wiring & fuel lines are not really an issue since I will be using an aftermarket wiring harness and running different fuel lines.

Which would you think is better?
The rules limit the cars to 230hp and 300 tq.

I sort of would like to run speed density for ease of wiring, but I want to use the vented opti on the 95 lt1.

Would I have to swap intakes to run speed density on the 95 lt1? or just throttle bodies?

run the 95, you can tune it to be speed density

question though, how are you going to lower the hp down to 230
or are you talking rear wheel
that a strange class, it way to easy to detune your car then fix it before you run... hell you could probably set the knock sensor up to a switch and have it pull like 20 degrees out lol

Yes...230hp. It is so the Mustangs can compete.

We actually have to run a restrictor plate behind the throttle body.

BTW...We are forced to run stock tuning, but can use a PCM from a 93-97 lt1.

It's for road racing, so a lot of it comes down to driver and an equal playing field. You can run a vented opti on the 93 if you wanted, people do the conversions all the time.

That is not an option for this class either. V8 muscle class.

I have heard the SN95 Cobras are really potent in that series. Seeems cool, it isnt like drag racing where unlimited budget cars always win.

Actually all the Mustangs are competive with the way the rules are written and Yes it is a budget series where driving makes the biggest difference.

I haven't competed yet, but have friends that are and look forward to having this car complete sometime this summer and joing in the fun.

I have been racing the dirt track and doing open track road course stuff for years now.
