brown stuff on the breather and oil cap?
It looks like mud, what is it? Its coming out of the breather and its under the oil cap too. I looked at the dipstick and it looks fine. Is this oil blowby or something? Whats wrong with my car? It runs fine.

It's normal condensation inside the valve covers. Shows up more in cold weather. It takes a long time for the valve covers to heat up sufficiently to cook it off. It can actually "rain" inside the valve covers. It takes longer drives to get rid of this. don't worry it's normal. Just take longer trips to the grocery.

That is what oil looks like when it gets contaminated with water. It can be a common problem in cars in colder/wet climates that only get driven short distances and never warm up enough to fully evaporate the condensation out of the engine. Another cause is if you have a blown head gasket or cracked head or block that can allow coolant into the crankcase causing the same contamination, but if you are not loosing coolant and the oil in your crankcase (dipstick) looks clean, then it is probably just condensation contamination. Good long days of driving in which the car gets completely warmed up will reduce or eliminate this and then you can do an oil change.
