Broken poly trans mount?

Has anybody ever heard of anybody doing this? I know they're not supposed to come apart, but can they still break? I have a poly trans mount and I am getting a slight "bump" under the car. It does it whenever I am coasting and apply any amount of throttle, or if I let off the throttle abruptly. I've inspected the mount and it "looks" ok. I still need to get under there and make sure everything is tight.
What is the possibility that an engine mount is broken? There's not any vibration, and nothing is hitting, but it can be real annoying sometimes.

the engine mounts could be broken too. but a loose tunnel brace was my problem. if you have over 75000 miles and you still have the stock motor mounts, id suggest replacing them any ways. its relatively easy, and they are cheap.

It could be broke. Stick a crowbar inbetween the trans and the cross brace and pry at it. If it moves apart its gonna need replaced. What were you doing to possibly break it? Im not saying you did but dont ever rev it up in neutral and shift it into gear with an auto because thats a quick way to break any trans mount.

No neutral drops for me. I never abuse my car, but I do drive it hard at the track.

Well it could me many things and the only way to find out is to check by trial and error. If you think its the trans then check it with the crowbar. if its not split then its something else and the other members have given a good list to the other things it could be. If what i typed doesnt make any sense i cant tell cause im a little drunk i guess ill find out what i typed soon enough.
