broken opti question

broken opti question

so i'm nearing completion of my long tube header install. which has been a real pain. during the install i posted that i had snapped a vaccuum line off of my opti.

i wanted to know what exactly this particular vaccuum hose did. i think it's for moisture but a buddy of mine thinks it has something to do with timing. Here's a PIC of what broke off and where it's located.

i glued the damn thing back on and and i'm going to go crazy with the jb weld all over the damn thing. hopefully that will hold until i can work my funds up to get a new one.

You are right, it has nothing to do with timing. It is just a vent.

Try a two part epoxy. That stuff is tough as hell.
