Broke a wire what is it?
Broke the wires of going into the connector under the egr valve it is shown in this pic, thanks mr. shoebox

What is it, and do I need it to run?

If it is a single tan wire, it would be to the oil pressure sensor.

thanks. I will check the color. It is (i thought 2) wires that go into the connector right under the egr valve in your picture.

The connector actually has three cavities, but our cars use only one.
