Broke Off A Torque Converter Bolt

I Broke A Torque Converter Bolt And Half Is Still In The Converter. Any Ideas How To Get It Out Without Removing The Trans?

Not gonna happen, just not enough room. Go ahead and pull it, once you get the converter on a bench then use an ez-out.

Re: Broke Off A Torque Converter Bolt

Just try it, but disconnect the flexplate from the converter and push the converter back into the tranny, it may give you enough room to get some plyers, needle nose type or some tool to get it out. If not, you can try to get it where you turn the motor over to where the bolt is at the bottom and see if you can get a drill in there to see if you can get a hole started and then EZ out it.
Of course, if none of this works, you will have to pull it.

I have been there brother, sheared all three once. I tried everyting and ended up in the E.R. with a nice metal splinter stuck in my eyeball. I finally pulled the tranny, should of done it in the first place.
