Brodix heads for LT1...just maybe
I am almost positive they can. That is another reason we went. MY buddy has a 9 second 68 Mustang with Track 1 Brodix heads that bought some custom headers. The header flange bolt pattern was different than the ones on his SBF head so we took them up there and they tapped in the appropriate bolt pattern.
One other thing on the flange difference is that (on my 10's at least) the #3 and #5, and #4 and#6 primaries are spread apart a little further than on the LT1 heads. So both the bolt holes and the primary position is different. If you swap flanges, it's easy enough to spread the primaries apart and insert them into the corresponding holes. Using a standard LT1 bolt pattern won't help if the exhaust ports don't line up. I don't know if the heads you are looking at are spread port or not. Mine are, so I needed to change the flanges.
Incidentally, the intake ports line up fine, but you use a different gasket.

I checked with a friend and he said the -10 do have a different exhaust port design. They changed the header bolt pattern up to accomodate the larger exhaust ports on the -10 heads.
The race right heads and the track 1 heads have the standard header bolt pattern and should bolt up. I will double check when I go back up there. Thanks for your insight and help with this.

Brodix makes SBC heads. They don't come with the modifications needed for LT1 operation. They take quite a few mods to work with our engines. I think that if Brodix does the mods, it will be from a special request. They don't manufacture them. The buyer has to get a machine shop to do the modifications.
There is another mod that I didn't put in my earlier posts. The LT1 intake won't bolt to the heads. You have to tap new holes for it to bolt in.

I don't know yet. I still haven't been to the dyno. I know I should go, but I haven't. I'm just having too much fun driving the thing. I'm sure that my hp/torque numbers aren't monstrous yet, since I'm nowhere close to taking full advantage of the heads. It sure is fun though...
Hey Nate, Do you know there are two versions of the -10s and well alot of brodix stuff for that matter? You have the spread port exhaust, where as there is a standard design which is what we are use to.

BTW sorry for never getting back to you. Things got a little hectic you could say.

When I did this, I never saw reference to different versions. Maybe my oversight, I don't know. I've only heard mention of them recently, long after I had mods done to my headers to make them work. It wouldn't have mattered in my case anyway because of the circumstances in which I purchased the heads. Oh well...

BTW guys My Brodix 18* heads are spread ports you can get them in standard EXT ports

why convert the intake?......theres really not much point in putting the LT1/LT4 intake on a badass brodix ported head....even a ported one will never come close to keeping up and will severely limit the potential of the head.
thats like buying a lamborghini and then putting on a 65mph speed governor on it.
youre better off getting a brodix single plane intake that will match the heads, and a 4bbl throttlebody and put an elbow on top.
