My friend's 96 Z has its brights stuck in the on postition. She can move the lever back and forth, but it won't shut them off. Any ideas?

 

The actual dimmer switch is located on the lower part of the steering column. Probably need to remove the panel under the steering wheel and observe the actuator rod when the MFL is operated for the brights. The switch may have come loose or is just broken.
