Thumbs down

They dont fit in the number 8 hole. They are designed so you cannot use a wrench to close them, only a donut hole. So there is not enough room between the head of hte bolt and the header for the donut hole to fit around. So i tried using my fingers, and then the base of the bolt of the head is so damn wide that IT starts to hit the header primary and i cant screw it in all the way even with my fingers.

I need either new headers or new bolts.

Buy another 12 point boxed end wrench and open up half of the boxed end and use it as an open end wrench...works like a charm!

i have some wrenches for working on ignition stuff, like the old school cars that you have to adjust the dwell and point gap. anyway the wrenches are stong and thin and also are at odd angles to get into tight places.
you can get the set at sears, comes in handy.

I have the Breslins and took and extra inexpensive 3/8 combo wrench to my 3-1/2" angle grinder and thinned the wall of the wrench down to fit. No dented primaries for me.

Oh, and I used the bolts in all the proper holes too.

If you start with all the bolts out of the heads, and the heads of the bolts right against the header flange and work each bolt a little at a time, you won't run into any problems. Take them all down evenly and you'll be fine.

Exactly what I did. Took a wrench and a grinder and made it work for all the bolts. Then I painted it a bright green so I can always find it in my box. Worked great and no leaks as of yet.

Summit carries these bolts. Go to the summit homepage and type in "bpp" for the part number and click go. Then have it do a partial part number search (this option will come up on the right after the initial search is made. This will give you the Breslin bolts. Good luck.

THANKS!!! Thats exactly the info I needed to find them. I called Summit earlier and the salesman told me they didnt carry Breslin's. After doing your search trick I found them. The Summit part # is BPP-600-101 for the stainless 1 inch version. Cost is $64.95. Five bucks cheaper than Jegs. After using a $15 gift certificate Summit gave me I've got $58.90 in them shipped.
