break in period for new gears?

break in period for new gears?

would any one happen to know?

in the richmond instructions they say to drive the car easy for 10 miles and and let cool for 30 mins and repeat a few times but I have heard that it takes a hundred miles what should I do ?

Yeah, let them heat cycle, drive around for 10 miles, cool down for 30 to however long, then repeat 4 or 5 times. Then be easy on them for 200-400 miles.

i'm looking at buying a used set of 4.30's that have been broken in right, when I get them installed do i need to do the same?? they are yukon gears dunno if that makes a dif.
