Break light on!!

Its been about two weeks now since I changed out my battery and since then my dam break light has been lit. I had this happen before but it went away after a couple of days but it hasnt. Its really anoying knowing its on but my break lever is all the way down. Could it be the sensor or something hopefully simple??

check your brake fluid level. a lot of times if the level goes low, the float sensor in there will cause the brake light to come on.

when you remove your cover under your dash right behind the brake pedal is a switch... when it goes in (as in push in) it will turn on your brake lights... sometimes this thing moves around, and goes up too high.... that causes teh button to always stay in, and that makes ur lights stay on all the time... it happened to me when i was putting keyless entry in my 98 maro... its a real easy fix...
