Brand new Waterpump Leaked on Brand new Opti, it pooched?
Brand new Waterpump Leaked on Brand new Opti, it pooched?
Well, my stock waterpump started leaking on my opti so I decided to try to fix everything up on my own. I guess that was a terrible idea.
The car was running great for about a week after I fixed it and there were no leaks. The other day the opti started misfiring again, checked the coolant level and sure enough its low.
I have not had a chance to look at what leaked yet (hopefully just a hose) Do you figure my new opti is pooched? (Car is a 94, so it's NOT a vented optispark)
Might it survive if it 'dries' out for a bit?
Thanks!

Same symptoms as I was getting with the old opti. Car ran perfect for about a week after replacing the waterpump, then it started leaking again.
Low RPM stutter, idles poorly, no power at low revs, if I give it to much gas at low revs it bucks. A shop diagnosed the first opti failure, I did the labor to 'fix' it. Unfortunately, I guess I did something wrong.

Crap. I let the optispark dry out for a few days. Still misfiring horribly.
Just dropped it off at the shop, I'm looking forward to paying for something that I tried to fix but screwed up
Big boo at Chevy's design
